Copher Tile & Stone Workmanship Warranty

 

Coverage Period

Copher Tile & Stone ("Company") provides a comprehensive Workmanship Warranty for a period of 12 months from the completion date of the project ("Coverage Period"). This warranty is applicable to all services and workmanship performed by Copher Tile & Stone during the specified Coverage Period. Warranty is non transferable. 

Warranty Coverage

During the Coverage Period, Copher Tile & Stone guarantees that all workmanship performed will be free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty includes, but is not limited to, the proper installation of tiles, stones, grouting, and other related materials, as well as adherence to industry-standard practices.

Warranty Exclusions

The Workmanship Warranty provided by Copher Tile & Stone does not cover the following:

  • Acts of Nature: This warranty does not extend to damages caused by natural disasters, including but not limited to earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, or other extreme weather conditions.
  • Normal Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear, expected aging of materials, changes in color due to exposure and sunlight and age and gradual deterioration over time are not covered under this warranty.
  • Improper Maintenance: Any damages resulting from improper maintenance, neglect, misuse, or failure to follow the recommended care and maintenance instructions are not covered. Care and maintenance can vary depending on the type of tile installed, therefore we recommend that manufacturers care/maintenance guidelines be followed. 
  • Accidents and Misuse: Damages caused by accidents, intentional or unintentional misuse, abuse, or any unauthorized alterations or modifications of the installed materials are excluded from this warranty. Exposure to inappropriate, excessive, or extreme temperatures and damage resulting from such is excluded from this warranty. 
  • Substrate and Existing Structures: This warranty does not cover defects arising from problems with the underlying substrate, existing structures, or cracking due to structural movement, including but not limited to issues with faulty structural design, foundation, structural failure, subfloor imperfections, improper subfloor or substrate preparation, walls, or surfaces that were not part of Copher Tile & Stone's installation scope.
  • Water-Related Damage: This warranty does not cover defects caused by plumbing issues, subfloor moisture issues or water damage. 
  • Third-party Modifications: Any modifications or repairs performed by individuals or entities not authorized by Copher Tile & Stone will void this warranty.
  • Changes in Color or Texture: Natural variations in color, texture, and pattern of tiles, stones, or other materials are not considered defects and are not covered by this warranty.
  • Force Majeure: Copher Tile & Stone shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under this warranty due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Warranty Claim Process

In the event that a defect covered by this warranty is identified, the customer must promptly notify Copher Tile & Stone in writing within the Coverage Period. Upon receiving a valid warranty claim, the Company will inspect the area and assess the issue to determine if it falls within the scope of this warranty.

Remedies

If Copher Tile & Stone determines that the warranty claim is valid and within the coverage scope, the Company will, at its discretion, either repair or replace the defective workmanship without any charge to the customer. The warranty repair or replacement will not extend the original Coverage Period.

Replacement of Tile and/or Grout

Copher Tile & Stone is not responsible for materials that may be needed for replacement. Copher Tile & Stone will not be responsible for matching specific tile, grout, dye lots, shade or colors. It is recommended that the customer purchase & retain extra pieces of tile and grout at the time of installation to save for any future repairs. 

Limitation of Liability

Copher Tile & Stone's liability under this warranty is limited solely to the repair or replacement of the defective workmanship as described above. The Company shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages arising from the use or inability to use the installed materials.

Entire Agreement

This Workmanship Warranty constitutes the entire agreement between the customer and Copher Tile & Stone regarding the workmanship guarantee and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.
